New Chancellor-Elect

ECSU Chancellor-elect Dr. S. Keith Hargrove, Sr. was named the 8th chancellor of Elizabeth City State University on May 15, 2025. University of North Carolina System President Peter Hans recommended Hargrove, a former engineering professor, dean and seasoned leader with experience at three historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Hargrove will begin the role on June 15, 2025.
