Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) is hosting a ribbon-cutting for new, student-centered campus additions – a skate park, a regulation size volleyball court and a collegiate size basketball court. The event is 10 a.m., Aug. 18 and separate ribbon-cuttings will occur at each site on campus. The combined projects are a part of various existing and planned beautification and construction initiatives throughout the campus.
On July 28, the university unveiled its new, 26,281-square-foot Welcome Center in the heart of campus. It houses the Offices of the Registrar, Student Accounts, Cashier, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and other campus mainstays. Like the Welcome Center, the skate park, volleyball and basketball courts’ construction align with the ECSU Forging our Future strategic plan, which includes enhancing students’ on-campus living experience.
