Student Accounts
On your billing statement you will find your class schedule, all tuition and fee charges and room and board. Also on your billing statement, you will see all credits/payments which includes financial aid awards posted and the current balance due.
- Log in to the Self-Service Banner.
- Click on the 'Student' tab, then 'Student Accounts,' and finally on 'View bill/ Make a Payment.'
Bills for tuition, fees and room and board are due on August 2, 2024. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure payment arrangements to satisfy balances in full have been made on their account in order to attend for the semester. Students who do not make payment in full or arrangements on their outstanding balances are subject to class cancellations. All payments must be made in US Dollars. ECSU does not accept payment in foreign currency.

Through use of an electronic voucher, you may be able to use Financial Aid funds to purchase items such as Books, Supplies, Parking Decals, Parking Fines, Commuter Meal Plans, and Replacement ID Cards. Approvals will only be sent to students with a valid campus email account.
Parents of dependent undergraduate students can use federal loans, called Plus loans, to pay for university expenses.
Your bill is paid in full. Once you have paid, check your clearance status the next day. On Banner, click on the 'Student Clearance Lookup' under the 'Student' Tab.
Financial Aid

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a Renewal FAFSA designating ECSU(school code 002926) to receive FAFSA results.

Be a United States citizen or an eligible noncitizen.

Be admitted to or enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program.

Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by the ECSU Financial Aid Office.

Not owe a refund on a student grant or be in default on a student loan.

Be enrolled at least half time, six or more undergraduate credit hours or five or more graduate credit hours.
ECSU has several types of financial aid for students. Students may get a combination
of aid to pay for education expenses.

- Click on the 'Award Offer' tab to review the award amounts, and select an option from the 'Take Action' drop-down. (You may choose to Accept, Decline, or Modify).
- Follow the prompts to accept your Terms and Conditions.
There are a few possible errors that may have occurred that is keeping your FAFSA from being received.
- Missing a contributor's consent and approval,
- incorrect Social Security Number, etc. Log in to the FAFSA and follow the instructions for making a correction.
- Review your financial aid award offer on the Banner Self-Service Page. You will need to log in using your ECSU email and password.
- Click on the 'Award Offer' tab to review the award amounts, and select an option from the 'Take Action' drop-down. Choose Accept. Follow the prompts to accept your Terms and Conditions.

- Select 'Modify.' Insert the amount you would like to accept as a loan. Follow the prompts to accept your Terms and Conditions.
You have accepted a student loan so you must complete entrance counseling to ensure you understand the terms and conditions of your loan and your rights and responsibilities. You will need to log in using the same credentials as when you filled out your FAFSA. This must be done in a single session and generally takes 20-30 minutes to complete.
You have accepted a student loan so you must sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN), a legal document, in which you promise to repay your loans and any accrued interest and fees to the Department of Education. This must be done in a single session and generally takes 20-30 minutes to complete.
- A student must bring his/her GPA and/or completion rate up to the minimum standards, as stated above, to regain financial aid eligibility. At the end of the term after meeting SAP standards, the student will regain financial aid eligibility. A student should consult with a Financial Aid Counselor to ensure aid eligibility is reinstated for the next period of enrollment.
- Transfer credit accepted by ECSU that applies to the student’s program can affect completion rate. If transfer credit is accepted by ECSU the student should request a review of their satisfactory academic progress to determine if eligibility has changed.

Register for New Student Orientation
There is one virtual orientation left before the start of the semester. Register for the August 14 virtual orientation.
Buy your parking pass
All ECSU students, whether full-time or part-time, who wish to park vehicles on campus, must register their vehicle through the ECSU Parking Portal.
Health Waiver
All students enrolled in 6 credit hours (main campus) or more, degree seeking, and eligible to pay the Student Health Services health fee, are required to have health insurance. Students have an opportunity to waive the health insurance fee at the beginning of the fall and spring semester by completing the waiver process online.
Submit Immunizations
Students must provide an immunization record to the university as required by the North Carolina Immunization Law (General Statutes 130A-152). Readmitted students who re-enroll after an absence of six months or more must also provide Student Health Services with updated immunization records.
Mandatory immunizations:
- Diptheria, tetanus and pertussis - 3 doses
- Polio - 3 doses
- Measles - 2 doses
- Mumps - 2 doses
- Rubella - 1 dose
- Hepatitis B - 3 doses
- Varicella - 1 dose
How to make an ID card appointment
The Viking One Card is the official identification and access card for ECSU. It's a multipurpose card that is the key to your residence hall, your meal plan, etc. You will need to have a Viking One card to move in. Make an appointment today!
How to access your ECSU email
Important information about ECSU, your academic schedule, messages from your academic advisor and deadline dates are sent to your student email. Check it regularly.
Book Rental is Mandatory. You will receive an email with the subject, 'First Day Complete.'

The amount awarded is based on the type of training you take, length of service, your category, and if DoD put extra money in your MGIB fund. You have about 10 years to use these benefits. The current full-time rate for those with three or more years of service and enrolled in an institutional program is $1,321 per month.
