ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (Feb. 19, 2024) – The Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) Office of Admissions and Recruitment will host the last of its three recruiting events called, “Blueprint for Success,” from 1 – 3 p.m., Saturday, March 16 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 5000 Noble St. in Winston-Salem.
“There is value in demystifying what a college education is all about,” said Karen Lucas, associate vice chancellor of enrollment management at ECSU. “It is important for students and their families to see for themselves that they can find their place at ECSU.”
Attendees can expect to engage with alumni, athletics, and residence life team members, as well as students who call Winston-Salem home. Additionally, financial aid experts will be available to offer personalized information on financial support, scholarships, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon will also be present to engage with prospective students and their families, and to award three $1,000 scholarships.
“The areas and communities we’re targeting are our largest population centers,” Lucas said. “Through our travels we want as many potential students and families as possible aware of what ECSU offers.”
Event registration is available at https://www.ecsu.edu/theblueprint/ and will also be available on-site.
