Elizabeth City State University Launches Inaugural Sound and Spirit Arts & Athletics Campaign on Giving Tuesday

 

Elizabeth City, NC – Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) is making Giving Tuesday 2024 one to remember with the launch of the inaugural Sound and Spirit Arts & Athletics Campaign! Under the visionary leadership of Interim Chancellor Dr. Catherine Edmonds, this initiative calls on alumni, supporters, and friends of ECSU to strengthen the arts and athletics programs of the Viking community.

This year, the campaign will focus on providing critical resources for ECSU’s beloved performance ensembles, including the ECSU Jazz Band, Sound of Class Marching Band, University Choir, Essence of Praise Gospel Choir, and the Mighty Vikings Athletics program. It will also support the Community Connections Performance and Lecture Series, which enriches the campus and surrounding community with world-class events.

“ECSU’s arts and athletics programs represent the soul and competitive spirit of our university,” said Dr. Edmonds. “By investing in these programs, we celebrate the creativity, talent, and traditions that make ECSU unique. Every gift matters—together, we’re shaping the future of our students and our university.”
