Graduate Programs
EXPLORE OUR GRADUATE PROGRAMS
Course offerings are available in the evenings and online to accommodate students who work full-time. Courses are also offered in summer school.
Qualified graduates of accredited colleges and universities are eligible to seek admission to graduate education programs at Elizabeth City State University. Admission to pursue graduate study is accomplished in two steps: one, by admission to the university through the Office of Graduate Education and two, by admission to a selected program through the appropriate school and major department.
Elizabeth City State University operates on the semester system. Courses numbered 500 or higher can be counted toward completion of the graduate degree. The fall and spring semesters are approximately fifteen weeks each. Enrollment during the fall and spring semesters is required. Failure to have continued enrollment during fall and spring will require a candidate to complete a Request for Readmission form from the Registrar's Office. The summer school consists of two five week sessions and one ten week session.
