Seamless Transfer Pathways
Seamless Transfer Pathways Students completing an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree in North Carolina may transfer with general education requirements already satisfied through the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement.

Transfer students are paired with advisors in their academic department and receive additional support through the university’s transfer advising services.

You may apply as a transfer student if you have earned college credit after graduating high school.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in college coursework
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended
- Must be eligible to return to your previous institution

24 or More Transferable Credits
You must:

Have a minimum 2.0 college GPA
Under 24 Transferable Credits (Age Under 21)
You must:
Submit college transcripts
Meet freshman admission requirements in addition to transfer criteria.
Associate Degree Transfer (AA or AS)
Students who earn an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science in North Carolina may transfer with general education requirements already fulfilled under the state articulation agreement.
How to Apply
- Step 1 — Submit Your Application
- Step 2 — Send Official Transcripts
- Step 3 — Review Your Credit Evaluation
- Step 4 — Enroll at ECSU
Apply online and pay the $30 application fee.
Request transcripts from all colleges attended to be sent directly to ECSU.
Admissions will review your transcripts to determine transferable credit.
Once accepted, work with your academic advisor to plan your path to graduation.
