Viking HomEComing 2026 is a special time when alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends come together to celebrate our shared love, pride, and connection to Elizabeth City State University.
Whether you return every year or haven’t been back to our beautiful campus in a while, HomEComing is the perfect time to come Home! Experience the continued growth and impact of ECSU, from enhanced campus facilities and outstanding academic programs to student success, scholarship, and the unmistakable spirit of Viking Pride.
Join us for an exciting week filled with alumni celebrations, student activities, reunions, entertainment, tailgating, Viking traditions, and plenty of fellowship and fun. And, of course, get ready to fill the stands and cheer on our Mighty Viking Football Team as we celebrate one of ECSU’s most treasured traditions, on Saturday, October 10th.

Campus Safety Measures
Campus Operating Hours for HomEComing Events
October 4 – 11: The University will close to campus visitors at 10:00 PM

Student Event Operating Hours
Student events will conclude by 10:00 p.m. during HomEComing Week. Select events during HomEComing Weekend may have extended hours. Additional details will be shared as they are finalized.
The Quad Operations
Announcement reminders will begin at 8 p.m. ECSU police officers will ask guests to begin clearing the area at 9:00 p.m. We ask that all attendees plan accordingly and exit the campus promptly to ensure a safe and orderly conclusion to the day’s events. Access to campus buildings will be limited. Outside restroom facilities will be provided.

- Open: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Music Ends: 8:30 PM
- Quad closes: 9:00 PM
- Visitors Must Exit Campus by: 10:00 PM
Friday, October 9 & Saturday, October 10
- Open: 6:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- Music Ends: 9:00 PM
- Quad Closes: 9:30 PM
- Visitors Must Exit Campus by: 10:00 PM

Residence Hall Operations
- Residential students may visit other residence halls during Homecoming.
- ECSU student visitation ends 10:00 PM (pending final policy confirmation).
- Non-ECSU guest visitation ends 7:00 PM.
- No unauthorized large gatherings in residential areas or outdoor common spaces.
