Viking ID Services

Welcome!

The Viking One Card is the official Identification card and access card for Elizabeth City State University. It is a multipurpose card, serving as the official ID card and as an on-campus debit card. All ECSU students, faculty, and staff are required to have the Viking One Card with them on campus at all times. If the card will be used for identification only, there is no requirement to deposit funds in the Viking One account. The Viking One Card is the property of the University and is not transferable.  Altering or lending this card may subject the cardholder to disciplinary action. Only the person pictured on the ID card will be allowed to use the card.

Acquiring a New or Replacement Card

New permanent employees normally receive their Viking One Cards during onboarding. You will need to complete the Employee – Viking ID Request Form to begin the process. Your supervisor and Viking ID Services team will be notified to process your request. Once approved, you will receive an email with a secure link to schedule your card issuance appointment. Note that if you do not obtain your card within 30 days of approval you will be required to resubmit the request form. Temporary employees may also need to obtain prior approval from the Supervisor before submitting the request form.

If the card is lost, stolen, or misplaced, you may purchase a replacement for a $20 replacement fee. If an ID card is damaged, there is a $10 replacement fee, providing the most recently issued damaged card is turned in at the time of the appointment. The ID card is to be used only by the employee whose name and photo appears on the card. The Viking One Card is the official, multifunctional identification card for Elizabeth City State University.
