About Mr./Ms. Alumni
The Mr./Ms. Alumni Program of the ECSU National Alumni Association celebrates the dedication and achievements of Elizabeth City State University’s distinguished alumni. Each year, one alum is selected for their exemplary service, leadership, and contributions to the ECSU community. This individual embodies the spirit and values of ECSU, serving as an ambassador who inspires and connects with current students, fellow alumni, and the broader community. Their efforts help strengthen the alumni network, support university initiatives, and ensure the continued success and legacy of ECSU. Through this program, the association highlights the remarkable impact alumni make, fostering a sense of pride and unity within the ECSU family.
The official coronation ceremony takes place during Homecoming. This grand event not only honors Mr./Ms. Alumni for their outstanding contributions but also symbolizes the rich traditions and pride of the ECSU culture and community.

Angela Doles-Quattlebaum
Biography
Today, I continue to serve my alma mater as an active member of the Portsmouth Alumni Association, where I serve as Chairperson for Membership and participate on the Hospitality and Fundraising Committee.
In June 2026, I proudly retired from Consumer Portfolio Services after 28 years of dedicated service. Retirement has given me the opportunity to devote more time, energy, and commitment to the university that has meant so much to me throughout my life.
Being selected as Miss Alumni 2026–2027 would be more than a personal achievement. It would provide me with an even greater opportunity to give back to ECSU and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. My goal is to help raise funds that will provide scholarships and financial support to deserving students, helping them remain enrolled, complete their education, and achieve their dreams.
Arlinda Halfacre
Biography
Arlinda Marie Halfacre is a proud 1987 graduate of Currituck County High School in Barco, North Carolina, and a distinguished alumna of Elizabeth City State University (ECSU). Her commitment to service, leadership, education, and community has been evident throughout both her personal and professional journey.
A veteran of the United States Army, Mrs. Halfacre carries with her a strong foundation of discipline, leadership, dedication, and service. Following her military service, she continued her commitment to serving others through higher education and community engagement.
Mrs. Halfacre has devoted her professional career to Elizabeth City State University, where she currently serves as Director of Admissions. In this role, she is committed to helping prospective students and their families navigate the college enrollment process and discover the opportunities available through higher education. Her passion for students, recruitment, enrollment, and the continued advancement of ECSU reflects her deep Viking pride and dedication to the institution.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Mrs. Halfacre is deeply committed to faith and community service. She has served in such capacities as Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Youth Department and Choir to name a few. She was ordained to an Elder in the Lord’s church in September 2012. She currently serves as Pastor of New Life Christian Ministries where she founded and led the Women of Purpose. Mrs. Halfacre is also an active member of The Links, Incorporated of Elizabeth City and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She has also demonstrated her commitment to her alma mater through her leadership as President of the Elizabeth City Area Alumni Chapter and as Chaplain of the Elizabeth City State University National Alumni Association, Incorporated.
Committed to continuous professional growth and leadership development, Mrs. Halfacre is a 2024 graduate of the Enrollment Leadership Academy, further demonstrating her dedication to excellence in enrollment management and higher education leadership.
Above all, Mrs. Halfacre considers motherhood and family among her greatest blessings. She is the proud mother of three sons—Malik, Delin, and Noah—and the proud grandmother of one grandson, Marcelo.
Her life and service are guided by a simple yet powerful philosophy:
“If you change nothing, nothing will change.”
Through her faith, leadership, service, and commitment to others, Arlinda Marie Halfacre continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, families, colleagues, and the communities she serves.
Britney Riddick
Biography
Britney Riddick is a proud native of Bertie County, North Carolina, and a member of the Class of 2003. She graduated with honors from high school before continuing her education at Elizabeth City State University, where she also graduated with honors in 2007, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
A lifelong advocate for service, leadership, and community, Britney currently serves as a Food and Lodging Supervisor with Pitt County Environmental Health.
Britney’s Viking pride runs deep. She is the daughter of proud ECSU alumni Barron Riddick and Beverly Spruill Riddick, and she continues her family’s Viking legacy as a lifetime member of the ECSU National Alumni Association and an active member of the Bertie County Alumni Chapter.
As a candidate for Ms ECSU Alumni 2026, Britney is honored to represent Bertie County and Eastern North Carolina. Her campaign reflects her commitment to giving back, strengthening alumni engagement, and supporting the continued success and legacy of Elizabeth City State University.
