Program Overview

The Elementary Education (K–6) program at Elizabeth City State University prepares future educators to teach and inspire students during their most formative academic years. As part of the Educator Preparation Program (EPP), students are guided through a comprehensive curriculum designed to meet North Carolina teaching licensure requirements.

This program blends theory, coursework, and hands-on field experiences to ensure graduates are classroom-ready. Students develop strong content knowledge across core subject areas while learning how to create engaging, inclusive learning environments that support all learners.
